Information on Fraud Attempts

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that Natixis Investment Managers and its affiliated companies, like all companies, are regularly targeted by malicious individuals through attempts at fraud, scams, and extortion, particularly through identity theft, the creation of fake email addresses, and offers of fake financial products. We recommend that you remain vigilant to protect yourself from these individuals, further information is provided below:

General Context

Cyber-attacks and attempts at fraud are becoming increasingly frequent. Your personal data may be targeted by malicious persons attempting to extract money from you. The methods used to obtain this data may vary: by phone, email, or postal mail. Natixis Investment Managers takes these threats very seriously.

Malicious individuals are currently attempting to use the name or the identity of Natixis Investment Managers, or its affiliated companies for fraudulent purposes, notably through the creation of groups on social networks and instant messaging tools (such as Facebook and WhatsApp), false job offers on social media, and unsolicited contact with individuals.

Natixis Investment Managers would draw your attention to the fact that:

  • Official communications with job candidates are conducted using large reputable recruiting firms or exclusively via professional email addresses using the domain [@natixis.com].
  • Unsecured instant messaging (WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) is not used by Natixis Investment Managers for recruitment or any other business dealings.
  • Natixis Investment Managers never solicits payment, banking information, or sensitive personal data as part of its recruitment process.

We also noted an increase in fraud related to investments in cryptocurrencies. Fraudsters may use the name or identity of Natixis Investment Managers or its affiliated companies to offer you fake investments, often presented as quick and guaranteed.

Natixis Investment Managers would draw your attention to fact that:

  • We never offer investment in cryptocurrencies.
  • We will never ask you to transfer money to a digital wallet or unverified account.
  • It is important to always verify the authenticity of the emails, phone numbers, and websites used.

Natixis Investment Managers draws your attention to the fact that some malicious individuals impersonate advisors and/or employees working for or on behalf of Natixis Investment Managers. They often use fake contact details and emails by creating false domain names that closely resemble Natixis Investment Managers' domain to deceive recipients. They also impersonate actual employees of Natixis Investment Managers (in contracts provided, fake signatures, falsified company stamps, etc.) with the aim of extorting funds and selling financial and/or real estate products that have no connection to the activities of Natixis Investment Managers.

Fraud prevention tips

To protect yourself from scams, please be aware of the following:

  • Verify the source: Always verify the source of any communication that appears to be from our company or our affiliates. Check the email address, phone number, and other contact details to ensure they are legitimate. Be cautious when receiving unsolicited messages from unknown contacts or numbers.
    • Do not click on links or download files from unverified sources. Do not share your personal or financial information with anyone, especially if you do not know them.
    • Please contact us at clientservicingam@natixis.com if you ever have doubts about whether a letter, call, email or text message claiming to be from Natixis Investment Managers or one of its affiliates is legitimate. Do not use the contact details provided in the suspicious communication.
  • Look for red flags: Be cautious of any requests that seem unusual or suspicious, such as urgent requests for personal information, financial details, or payments. Be wary of offers that seem too good to be true and deals that require you to pay up front.

For additional resources and assistance for victims of financial crime, please visit via government and regulatory platforms, including:  the Interpol website. While fraud reporting procedures can vary from country to country, victims of fraud are generally encouraged to report fraud incidents to your local police department.
